Dr. Steven D. Tanksley (CEO, Director of Research) has worked in the fields of plant breeding, genetics and genomics for nearly 30 years. He has won numerous awards throughout his career, most recently including the 2005 Kumho Science International Award in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and the 2004 Wolf Foundation Prize in Agriculture. Dr. Theresa M. Fulton (Director of Operations) worked in the fields of plant breeding, genetics and genomics for 15 years before moving to the field of Scientist Training and Education in 2001. She holds a B.S. in Microbiology and Genetics (Syracuse University, NY, 1987), a M.S. in Plant Breeding and Genetics (Cornell University, 1998), and a Ph.D. in Education (Cornell University, 2002). Dr. Vincent Pétiard (Director of Business Development) has had a long career in the food and research industry, recently retiring from Nestle where he was the Director of the Plant Research Center in Tours, France. He holds a B.S. in Math and Biotechnology, a M.S. in Plant Biology and Genetics, and a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding (all from the University of Paris). In addition to agriculture and plant breeding, his expertise includes business development, food product development, tissue culture, pharmaceuticals, and nutrition.
